Abstract
Using the racist abuse directed at Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka after the Euro 2020 final as a point of departure, this chapter traces the movement of racism from football grounds into digital spaces. It considers how online racism has evolved and evaluates past and present strategies designed to challenge it in English professional football, asking why some campaigns have proved more effective than others.
